A copyedit may also include some fact-checking or a line edit to fix any problems with transitions or wordiness. You will receive a Word file with notes and all edits for suggested corrections.
PROOFREADING Rate starts at 2¢ per word* Proofreading happens at or near the final stage of the publication process. It is one of the last checks for errors before the document is submitted, published, printed, or otherwise finalized. Proofreading assumes the author has written the content as they would like, and it involves reviewing a document for overlooked mistakes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, double words, formatting, and word choice. You will receive a Word file with notes and all edits for suggested corrections.

DISCOUNT OFFERS and PAYMENT PLAN
Writing a book and having it edited and published can get expensive. I offer discounts on services and the option of a payment plan. All projects require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to start. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions.
Discount for New Clients: Any first-time client receives an automatic 10% discount. It’s that simple. This discount cannot be combined with any other discount.
Discount for Multiple Services: Anyone choosing to sign a contract for more than one service at a time will receive $100 off invoices totaling $1,000 or more. For invoices totaling less than $1,000, you will receive a 10% discount. To qualify, clients must choose at least two services or contract at least two manuscripts within a single contract. Each service will be completed in a specific order and not simultaneously. This discount can’t be combined with any other discount.
Payment Plan: I know prices add up quickly, so to ease the stress of having to shell out a bunch of money at once, you have the option to use a payment plan for my services for anything costing $500 and above. Here’s how it works—a 50% nonrefundable deposit is mandatory to get your manuscript on my schedule and gives me the opportunity to start working on it. The balance can then be paid off by using the payment plan. There is no set date to pay off your balance, as long as you are making regular payments. An updated invoice showing the balance due will be sent to you every 1st and 15th of the month, requiring a minimum payment of $100 each time. A service charge of $15 will be added for each new invoice sent out.
